Seeding a trailer and extras - Online video syndication and analytics

Tubemogul is a video service allowing you to upload video to multiple video sites at the same time which saves a lot of time. The best part however is it’s rather nice analytics, so you can track what sites are working and what videos are being watched. Rather then the usual scattergun approach or a ‘stick it on YouTube’ and hope for the best this will allow filmmakers to upload trailers, making of videos and excerpts from the feature then track which ones are doing well and where - you can then focus more activity on promoting those elsewhere. For instance through social networks or even PPC Campaigns.

As the number of video channels continues to increase this kind of service will become more and more vital.

Two superb ways to customise the plethora of web-apps

I find that whilst there are hundreds of web apps out there, none of them ever quite do what I need and writing my own app that links other apps together via their APIs seems like a lot of work.

Enter Tarpipe and Lightspoke - more apps with silly names! These allow you to integrate other apps together to make a decent workflow. It’s early days for tarpipe but it shows some promise.
